Biography
Upon the recommendation of a professional sports agent, Kelsey Moore entered the Miss El Paso pageant to gain experience in front of a camera. In the end, she gained much more than experience. The nineteen year-old, blue-eyed blonde beauty walked away with the prestigious title of Miss El Paso! She was then recruited to compete in the Miss Texas USA pageant, where to her amazement she also captured that coveted title.
Kelsey is focused, athletic, talented, bright, and disciplined. Her goals are to become a political newscaster after playing professional volleyball for a couple of years. It seems highly likely that she will achieve both goals. She is a Student Athlete at the Division 1 Level, attending the University of Texas at El Paso on a full-ride volleyball scholarship, and is majoring in Electronic Media. She expects her pageant experiences will further develop her poise and people skills, which will serve her well when she is in the public eye as a newscaster.
Although she views volleyball as her job, she also plays recreationally. She loves sports, especially football and baseball games, and enjoys boating, water sports and sunbathing.
Kelsey has contributed to her community by participating in a high school tutoring program, volunteering at volleyball camps, working with the Boys and Girls Club, making food bags for the needy, and involving herself with many other organizations and churches.
The love and support of a strong family give Kelsey the impetus to succeed and even exceed her own goals. With a solid foundation of strong moral values and self-confidence instilled in her by her parents, she would like to use her new position as Miss Texas USA to encourage children to become aware of their personal worth and to inspire them to reach their full potential in life. Kelsey urges the next generation to set personal goals, to stay true to their values, and to continue to be active in the politics that run this country.
