Neyorny Willams was crowned Miss Sierra Leone 2010 on July 30 at the Family Kingdom Entertainment Complex in Aberdeen. Neyorny is 19 year old and stands 1.88m. She will represent Sierra Leone in Miss World 2010 in Sanya, People’s Republic of China on October 30th. The first runner-up is Abie Mansaray and the second runner-up is Kadiatu Conteh.
“I am very excited to be the winner of Miss Sierra Leone 2010 and I am ready to represent my country in the world contest,” she said after being crowned.

Neyorny is presently pursuing an international course in Human Resource Management with the Cambridge University attended the St. Joseph’s Primary School and St. Joseph’s Convent. Her debut in beauty pageantry began in 2008 with the coveted Miss Paddy’s Beauty Contest in which she made a strong showing, so much so that she was invited to take part in the continental ‘Face of Africa’ staged in Ghana that same year. Her participation in this year’s Miss Sierra Leone was triggered by a friend of her brother who alerted her by telephone just two weeks to the grand final, and urged her to take part because he had seen the other contestants and thought that Neyonyn could match them.

Neyonyn says she is grateful to a gentleman called Emmanuel, who designed her outfits and counseled her during rehearsal sessions.

Looking at Neyonyn face on, one would not doubt the integrity and knowledge of the judges. She is absolutely confounding to behold.

The organizers of the national beauty pageant, Mammy Yoko Entertainment Enterprises, will support her and see her through to China to take on the world’s most beautiful, next October.
