The 39th anniversary of MISS INTERCONTINENTAL’s venue and date announced!
The World Beauty Organization Panama announced today that the 39th anniversary of MISS INTERCONTINENTAL will be held on Saturday, November 6th 2010 in the “TAINO” Theatre of the Barcelo Punta Cana – Hotel which is situated at one of the 10 most beautiful beaches in the World.
The “hunt” is on….for the most expensive and prestigious beauty crown in the World – the “Holy Water” made of platinum with 720 diamonds, worth about $361 thousand, is thought to be the most expensive crown of all beauty pageants worldwide.
It will be an exiting trip for all delegates to the heart of the caribbean, bathed by the waters of the Atlantic Ocean on the north coast and by the Caribbean Sea to the south. No doubt that our host, the Barcelo Punta Cana will make us feel like home. With seven restaurants, the Barcelo Punta Cana offers a wide variety of cuisine from traditional Dominican cuisine to French cuisine, Italian, Japanese and an international buffet.
For WBO it is the very first time to stage the MISS INTERCONTINENTAL Pageant in the Dominican Republic. “We are very exited to bring our production to the Caribbean and we all are looking forward to an exotic and magnificent show” says WBO President Luis Pitti Sagrera in a news conference. “When I first came to the Dominican Republic I was welcomed with a warmth and generosity that made me believe it could be the perfect location to host Miss Intercontinental one day. I have always been consistently amazed by the great diversity, both culutrally ang geographically which comprise this exquisite country and make it such a treasure” added Luis Pitti Sagrera.
